CMOS Tubing Inspection Cabinet (TIC™) VSA 4/2003

The CMOS tubing inspection cabinet, is the highest resolution turn-key solution for small tubing inspection applications. The mobile shielded cabinet based system incorporates a computer controlled micro focus X-ray tube, a high-resolution CMOS digital X-ray detector, and a rotational movement system for capturing images between 0-120 degrees.

At the comfortable operator workstation, an intelligent interface allows the operator to drastically reduce the inspection times by simultaneously acquiring digital images, and automatically repositioning detector to pre-assigned positions around tubing cross section. On the spot interpretations can be preformed and efficient image archiving can be obtained to meet inspection requirements.

Operational information: Image acquisition takes less than 10 seconds from "shot to screen", and positional relocation happens immediately after X-ray is obtained. Full movement 0-120º (without interruption) requires approximately 8 seconds.

Tubing is easily placed/removed in cabinet either through top access port or by direct slide through entry. Safety interlocks and X-ray on indicators assure safe operation. The TIC™ cabinet meet US safety and radiation standards (ANS/NBS CFR Sect. 1020.40) for full protection installation devices.
